Kendall Hunt Publishing Company always strives to ensure customer satisfaction with our products and services. Should it become necessary for you to return products, the following guidelines must be followed:

Product Specific: Returns and refunds on digital offerings, including electronic codes and software, are limited to those that have not been activated or used and must be requested within 7 days of purchase. No returns or refunds will be given for any electronic code that has been activated or for software that has been downloaded. For other non-returnable items, please refer to your original purchase invoice. Printed product must be unmarked, unstamped, un-stickered, unscratched, with no bent corners or torn covers. Prepackaged bundles must be in original and unbroken shrink wrap. Electronic Access Cards are not returnable.

Customer Specific: 6 months from invoice date for the following customers: Bookstores, Schools, Associations, Professional Organizations, College Departments, Professors/Educators 1 month from invoice date for the following customers: Individual /Student Purchasers, Home Schools, Libraries

A copy of the original invoice, packing slip or chargeback with the ISBN and quantity being returned must be in each box. If the returns instructions are not followed, credit will not be issued and we will discard the product that does not meet the requirements of our return policy.

Damaged Product, Defective Product or Missing Product:
- All claims must be reported within 30 days or less by contacting the Customer Service Department at 800-228-0810 or email orders@kendallhunt.com
- Save the shipping carton. This is necessary to facilitate a freight claim.
- Do not return merchandise until you receive our instructions to do so.

We currently offer various shipment delivery options. Each option shows the shipment cost and estimated delivery time.

All orders placed on our web site will be charged sales tax. If your school/organization is exempt from sales tax, please contact Customer Service.

Delivery

We fulfill most orders within 48 hours of entry into our automated order processing system. Orders are not shipped on weekends or on holidays. Shipping times vary based upon the shipping method chosen. For all orders, please supply a valid street address. Many shippers cannot deliver to a P.O. Box. If shipping instructions are not provided we will determine the most appropriate method and ship accordingly. Please include the telephone number and name of the person to be contacted for delivery instructions.

Returns

Returns for materials purchased from JIST cannot be accepted unless written approval has been secured.

Shipping charges are non-refundable.

Product defects

In the event of a product defect:

  • Returns must be made in 30-45 days.
  • Please enclose a copy of the packing list or invoice. We cannot process a credit to your account without the packing list or invoice copy.
  • We accept returns that arrive in a condition to sell again. So pack very carefully.
  • Ship prepaid FedEx Ground or UPS, or any method that provides a way for you to trace the shipment.

How can I get free instructor's guides?

Workbooks

We publish instructor’s guides for many of the JIST workbooks and we want you to have them! When you order 20 or more copies of a JIST-published workbook, please order the corresponding instructor’s guide, and put N/C (no charge) on the order form as the price. If you order 20 or more copies of a JIST-published workbook on our website, the corresponding instructor’s guide will automatically be added to your order at no charge.

How do I get permission for using a portion of JIST content?

All JIST content is protected by copyright law. Please contact the Copyright Clearance Center at www.copyright.com or (978) 750-8400. On JIST’s behalf, the Copyright Clearance Center provides annual licenses and pay-per-use permission for JIST content in various print and digital formats.

What are JIST's terms and conditions for videos?

DVDs and JIST Gateway online videos

JIST’s DVDs and online videos include public performance rights, meaning customers are welcome to show the DVD or online video to a live audience of people, without charge. Public performance rights do not include the right to broadcast the program online or by other means.

JIST Gateway Online Video eSamples

Video eSamples, provided to qualified professionals free of charge for review purposes, do not include public performance rights. These eSample videos are not to be shared with multiple individuals or groups.

If you are interested in obtaining a license to transmit our video programs to another site or multiple locations, you must purchase the rights to do so. Please contact your account manager to discuss your intended use for licensing and pricing information.

Can I get free JIST assessments for my dissertation or thesis?

Upon request, JIST will provide one complimentary assessment package (25 copies in print or digital format) to graduate students using JIST assessments as part of their dissertation or thesis. We require that the results or research findings be shared with JIST Career Solutions by contacting Shea Pream, Associate Product Manager, at spream@jist.com. If more assessments are required to complete the student’s dissertation or thesis, JIST will provide a 50% discount toward their total assessment order. The remaining costs will be owed to JIST Career Solutions prior to delivery.
